Joseph A. Namikas was born on October 22, 1953 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is an associate with Chuck Bretz & Associates P.C. Mr. Namikas is a trial attorney whose practice emphasizes the prosecution and defense of civil litigation matters including personal injury and product liability cases. He represents clients in both State and Federal courts as well as before administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals. Mr. Namikas has over 23 years of litigation and appellate experience and has tried over 60 civil jury cases to verdict.
Before coming to Chuck Bretz & Associates P.C., Mr. Namikas practiced as a trial attorney in Chicago, Illinois as well as in the surrounding counties. Mr Namikas received his Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois University in 1977. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1985. While in law school, Mr. Namikas received the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law. He was also a member of and a Research and Topics Editor for the N.I.U.C.O.L Law Review.
Mr. Namikas was admitted to practice in the State of Illinois in 1985, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1986 and the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit in 1986. He is also a member of the U.S. District Court Trial Bar.
Mr. Namikas is of Lithuanian descent and both speaks and writes Lithuanian fluently.
